Lieutenant Mohamed Ewais was arrested on charges of being involved in Homeland Security Officer Mohamed Mabrouk assassination and belonging to the banned group of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Ewais had provided the terrorists with information about Mabrouk that led to his assassination including his place of residence.
Ewais has been transferred to Tora prison pending investigation.
