Islamic Party: We will continue demonstrations even if constitution passes

CAIRO: The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy will keep on protesting and refusing the roadmap, even if the constitution is passed in the referendum, Islamic Party general secretary Mohamed Abo Samra said Tuesday.

According to Samra, the position of the legitimacy alliance toward the upcoming constitutional referendum is limited to two options; either boycotting the referendum or calling for voting “No” on the amended constitution.

Samra assumed that the alliance would decide to boycott the referendum, possibly accompanied with massive demonstrations, but added that “this decision will be taken in the last hours.”
