CAIRO: Political student movements are scheduled to protest in front of the Ministry of Higher Education on Wednesday under the title of “Freedom for the arrested students.”
Students will demand the immediate release of detained students, accountability of the Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Interior, withdrawing police from outside universities and cancelling all decisions that allow police to enter campuses.
The students stressed the necessity of cancelling all investigations with students related to their political activities in university.
Students also demand that those responsible for the bloodshed on campuses be brought to trial.
Meanwhile, students of Al-Khedewya high school scheduled a protest on Wednesday heading to Tahrir Square, according to Youm7. The high school students are protesting police violence and the killing of Cairo University student Mohamed Reda on Nov. 28 during campus clashes.
