CAIRO: The defense lawyers of ousted president Mohamed Morsi said the prosecution did not provide them with the results of investigations conducted with the former president in Borg al-Arab prison, in statements to Youm7.
Al-Sayed Hamed, a member of Morsi’s defense team, added that they have not been informed whether Morsi will be referred to criminal court in the Wadi al-Natroun prison break case.
Hamed denied media reports that the ousted president was referred to the criminal court, emphasizing that all legal measures taken against Morsi are illegal.
Ashraf Omran, another member of Morsi’s defense staff, said the prosecution did not refer Morsi to criminal court in the prison break case, adding that they have not conducted a serious investigation with him.
