Mohammed Ibrahim, Egypt's Minister of Interior, held press conference today in which he congratulated the Coptic Christians on Christmas as well as the new year.
He promised security enhancements at the celebrations in order to prevent new terrorist attacks on churches.
He added that security forces are ready to face the potential violence of the Muslim Brotherhood during the upcoming referendum on the amended constitution.
He also explained that a draft plan was drawn up to secure Coptic Churches, tourist sites, and vital installations during the new year's and Christmas celebrations.
