CAIRO: The decision on holding presidential or parliamentary elections first will be made after the adoption of the constitution, Presidential Advisor for Constitutional Affairs Ali Awad told Al-Arabiya TV channel Monday.
The president is conducting a national dialogue on whether to give priority to the presidential or parliamentary elections, Awad said, adding that the president is entitled to issue a decree to hold presidential elections first.
According to Awad, the ongoing national dialogue is being documented to identify the various segments of the society’s wishes in terms of the elections.
