CAIRO: Strong Egypt Party’s headquarters on the Nile Corniche in Damietta was set on fire by masked assailants on Tuesday.
Secretary General of the party Mohamed Reda told Youm7 that the building was stormed by around 50 masked people carrying machine guns. They broke the door, threw gasoline inside then set fire to the place, he said. Reda added that there were no casualties.
Reda said that members of the Constitution Party, whose headquarters in Damietta is located a floor directly below the headquarters of Strong Egypt Party, helped extinguish the fire.
