Abu Ismail asks allies to support MB: sources

CAIRO: Former presidential candidate and founder of the Al-Raya Party Hazem Salah Abu Ismail is asking his supporters in the Hazemoun and Ahrar movements to participate in Muslim Brotherhood protests rather than demonstrating in front of the courts during his trial, sources told Youm7.

The sources said there has been disagreement among the movements’ members regarding the Brotherhood, but some members of Hazemoun and the Al-Raya Party do participate in supporting pro-Brotherhood groups.

Abu Ismail also praised the protests of Brotherhood students inside universities, and asked his supporters to continue demonstrating in the streets during Brotherhood protests, and to boycott the constitutional referendum, according to the sources.

However, the Ahrar movement has rejected policies of the Brotherhood’s supporting alliance and considers the Brotherhood as a betrayer of the January 25 Revolution, likening them to the National Democratic Party and the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, according to the sources.
