FAYOUM, Egypt: Security forces in Fayoum City dispersed a march in support of the Muslim Brotherhood on Sunday.
Hundreds of Brotherhood supporters participated in the march. Police forces intervened to shut down the protest, since they had not obtained a protest permit. Police fired tear gas to disperse the protesters.
Meanwhile, dozens of students at the Faculty of Medicine in Fayoum University organized a pro-Brotherhood protest Sunday evening on campus.
The students condemned the killing of a pro-Muslim Brotherhood student and the injuries of others last Friday during clashes with police forces. The protesters raised the Rabaa al-Adaweya sign and chanted slogans against the military and the police.
