CAIRO: A delegation of international lawyers is to attend the second trial session of ousted president Mohamed Morsi on Wednesday, according to the Freedom and Justice Party’s website.
The party said the delegation conducted a series of meetings with Egyptian officials, judicial authorities and families of the lawyers in prison, ahead of the Wednesday session. Morsi and a number of Muslim Brotherhood leaders are charged with inciting violence against protesters in the Ithadeya incident.
The delegation includes a number of international lawyers including Shabnam Mayet, a lawyer from South Africa and the American lawyer Curtis Doppler, part of the defense team of the late Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
