SOHAG, Egypt: Security forces in Sohag governorate, Upper Egypt, intensified efforts Tuesday to arrest two Muslim Brotherhood supporters who beat and insulted citizens for supporting the constitution, said a security source.
Hani R. A. (37,) Shaaban S. R. (23) and Ali Sh. A. (42) have been beaten and insulted in Belsfoura village. The suspects are two men sympathizing with the Brotherhood, Mahmoud M. and Teir Kh., the source added.
Some people in Sohag were demonstrating to support the newly amended constitution, which is put to vote in the referendum on Tuesday and Wednesday.
