How did the Arab Spring turn to blood and violence? How did the peoples’ hope for freedom leak and turn into conflict and blood?
Part of the answer is related to the successive appearance of Al-Qaeda on the scene, but how did they come out on top from the Arab Spring?
Al-Qaeda has never stopped attacking and threatening America, while its continued killing of Arabs and Muslims through sectarian strife seems as though it pushed citizens to choose between blood and tyranny.
In his last speech, Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri seemed to be happy with the havoc and destruction that was caused by his organization in Iraq, Syria and Egypt.
Zawahiri noted in his speech that the Islamist State in Iraq and the Levant is still strong, and attacked American and Iranian targets, though everyone can see that Al-Qaeda continues to kill the Iraqi, Syrian, Egyptian and Libyan people.
It works in blood. It turned the revolutionary spring in Syria to a bloody autumn, pushing the Syrians who opposed Bashar al-Assad to prefer his rule over the terrorism of Al-Qaeda. The same thing happened in Iraq, when the invasion by the United States seemed to grant Al-Qaeda American approval to create chaos.
Zawahiri noticed that his Islamist State in Iraq and the Levant received popular support and he called for such a state in Iraq. He did not seem to care that the dissolution is destroying Iraqi and Islamic unity.
In this regard, he resembles all the strategic leaders of ruin, who speak of the return of the Islamist State and the awaited Caliphate. As though the Caliphate can be established in blood, ruin, destruction and the dismantling of countries, turning them into smaller countries under U.S. management, to control their petrol.
It seems that Zawahiri is the main support for any U.S. plan for chaos or dismantlement. The U.S. allows him to attack their country theoretically, as his threat is not effective. Meanwhile, Zawahiri’s men are killing the innocent, and spoiling the dreams of people for freedom, forcing them instead to support autocratic regimes.
In the meantime, Zawahiri plays the role of the star; appearing on television to threaten and warn America, while explosions occur in Iraq or Syria, Libya and Egypt, completely financed by his organization..
