During receiving a British delegation in Al-Azhar, Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam, said that Al-Azhar has always been a national institution that has nothing to do with politics.
He added that Al-Azhar aims to spread moderate Islam and supports the Egyptian national unity through the family house initiative.
