The committee tasked with managing and seizing Muslim Brotherhood (Muslim Brotherhood) funds, headed by Advisor Ezzat Khamis, decided on Tuesday to freeze the assets of two associations and place them under government supervision. The committee tasked with managing and seizing Muslim Brotherhood (Muslim Brotherhood) funds, headed by Advisor Ezzat Khamis, decided on Tuesday to freeze the assets of two associations and place them under government supervision.

The first association was Nahda Coalition, which was managed by Khairat el-Shater, a leading member of the Brotherhood, and the second association was the Egyptian Association for Development, which was managed by Hassan Malek and Moaz Ezz el-Din.

The committee confirmed in its statement on Tuesday that the decision is to implement the verdict of Cairo Court for Urgent Matters that was upheld by a final verdict at the end of last week.

The committee decided to lift the freeze from businessman Ahmed Shawky Abdel Fatah, the Dar Quran Association in Shubra, the Local Society Association in Talkha, and Resala Private School in Fayoum after the reasons behind reservation were dropped.

The committee also explained that it reviewed during the last period 123 grievances and refused several grievances due to the presence of Brotherhood supporters on the boards of directors of the government-seized associations or schools, or the employees there were promoted for their ideological links to the Brotherhood.

Brotherhood leaders whose funds are frozen numbered 745 persons, in addition to 1,055 associations and 85 schools.
