Secretary General of the Nour Party Mohamed Shokry hopes that a competitive candidate will run against Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in the upcoming presidential elections so that citizen will have the opportunity to choose between different competitors.
Shokry told Youm7, Thursday, that the Nour Party will announce its support for a candidate after all the candidates are announced, as the Nour Party has set specific criteria for the chosen candidate. He pointed out that competition will bring about the best interests of the Egyptian citizens.
Minister of Defense Abdel Fatah al-Sisi told Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Seyassah that he would be running for president, Wednesday.
