Zeyada stated that the popular campaign to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group started after the dispersal of Rabaa sit-in when Brotherhood started to publicize their current situation as victims of the authority in Egypt.

The center is making its efforts to collect data and evidences about MB’s violence acts in Egypt, referring that all their documents are officially accurate, she said.

Zeyada said that the center will attend a hearing session of the U.S. Congress in March to submit the official documents demanding Congress members pressure the American Administration to make “serious decisions” against the Brotherhood.

The formerly ruling party has had a rapid fall in Egypt; following the July 3 ouster of Mohamed Morsi, many high-ranking members of the party were arrested on charges of inciting violence and killing protesters. The group was officially dissolved in October 2013, with the government authorized to seize its assets, and was designated as a terrorism organization by the Egyptian government on Dec. 25, 2013.
