The Free Egyptians Party did not yet determine its stance towards a certain presidential candidate, spokesperson of the party Shehab Wagih confirmed on Monday.
Wagih added, in statements to Youm7, that the party is awaiting official declarations from candidates. He pointed out that opinions vary inside the party, but once the presidential candidates announce their electoral programs the Supreme Commission of the Party will meet to declare its final stance.
He pointed out that the National Salvation Front’s last meeting tended towards not supporting a particular presidential candidate, and instead giving its members the chance to choose.
He explained that the aim of the Front is to preserve the democratic transfer process in Egypt, and not to support anyone in the presidential elections.
