Asharq al-Awsat London-based newspaper said that many signs indicate that the pro-legitimacy alliance, formed after toppling President Mohamed Morsy in July, is about to collapse as many imprisoned Muslim Brotherhood leaders are urging for a dialogue with the current Egyptian government.
The main obstacle the alliance is facing is its unability to convince juniors of a political solution as they believe that a political solution is impossible after a lot of blood has been shed, an alliance source told Asharq al-Awsat in a report the paper published under "Brotherhood supporters are inclined to start dialogue with Egyptian authorities."
The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy has recently issued a statement expressing openness to the proposed initiatives on the political arena. The statement pointed out that the Alliance was ready to move forward on a political path, while continuing at the same time the revolutionary movement on ground.
The newpaper pointed out to a circulated recording for a dialogue between Morsy and his lawyer Mohamed Selim al-Awa about the need for a political solution.
The paper said that in conjunction with talk about negotiations between the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood and the current government, a court has acquitted last month 62 pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters.
