The Evangelical Church revealed the distribution of publications in a number of orthodox churches that prevent the entry of evangelical pastors from praying, especially in the funerals prayers.
This decision was made during the celebration of the Egypt’s churches council at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center in the Abasseya cathedral, marking the first anniversary of its foundation.
“Intolerance still exists and there are now still some orthodox churches preventing the entry of evangelical pastors from praying, especially during funerals prayers,” pastor of the Evangelical Church in Shubra Refaat Fekry said during the celebration. “If churches want unity, they must prevent these publications from spreading.”
Members of the Evangelical Church denounced the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center rejection of journalists’ entry from covering the Egypt ‘churches council celebration, despite the Evangelical Church’s invitation for the journalists.
