Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab Monday made a surprise visit of a cooperative in Qasr al-Aini Street on his way to the cabinet headquarters downtown Cairo.
While touring the consumption outlet, he urged citizens to buy from these cooperatives that offer commodities at cheap price compared to the other markets.
He asked Supply Minister Kahlid Hanfy to pay more attention to developing the cooperatives.
Late on Sunday, Mahlab inspected a police checkpoint in Maadi to check on the security situation.
Meanwhile, he received Monday Central Bank Governor Hisham Ramez to discuss the position of the foreign exchange market, financial situation, and ways of providing money needed for import basic goods.
