Salafi leader Mohamed al-Abaseeri criticized the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) over the establishment of the Brotherhood Youth Institution, calling the move a deceptive attempt to return to the political scene.
Abaseeri said in a press statement the Brotherhood has adopted a similar approach to previous times it has been excluded from political power. He gave as example the establishment of the Nahda Movement and the consequent coalition with Wafd Party after the killing of its founder Hassan Al-Bana in 1948.
He said the group also took the same approach after its crisis former President Gamal Abdel Nasser, when they established a number of movements claiming that they were not affiliated with the Brotherhood.
