Trial adjourned to March 24 for journalists

The case involving 20 journalists who are accused of belonging to a terrorist organization, also known as the Marriot cell, was adjourned to March 24.

The Cairo Criminal Court decided Wednesday to delay the trial, which was held at the Institute for Police Trustees, in order to listen to more prosecution witnesses.

The 20 defendants, among which four are journalists from Al-Jazeera, are accused of belonging to an organization that aims to disrupt the rule of law, breaching personal freedoms of citizens and the social wellbeing of society, and using terrorism as a tactic to achieve the aforementioned aims.
