Deputy head of Hamas political office Moussa Abu Marzouk denied being harassed in Egypt, but at the same time he stressed that he is among 20 other Palestinian officials whose residence permits have not been renewed by Egyptian authorities since June 30.
Hamas is keen on its relations with Egypt but any strong relation needs good intentions on both sides to continue, he told Hamas-affiliated Sawt Al-Aqsa radio.
He said the decision by an Egyptian court to ban Hamas activities in Egypt cements hostility to the Palestinian resistance.
He stressed that the court decision is of no significance as Hamas has no activities or offices in Egypt.
