Pro-Muslim Brotherhood students storm campus at Al-Azhar University

The march came out the backdoor of the campus and cut off Mostafa el-Nahas Street, which surrounds Al-Azhar University. The demonstration halted traffic and resulted in verbal altercations between drivers and students.
 
Before storming the campus, the students protested in front of the Faculty of Humanity Studies.
 
Students kidnapped one security official during the demonstration. The official was allegedly beaten and knocked unconscious, and was last seen being taken in the direction of the National Security building in Nasr City, according to Youm7.
 
During an interview on Mehwer TV channel, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies Mohga Ghalib said the marches inside Egyptian universities are an attempt to disrupt the education process, but the process has continued.
 
Pro- Muslim Brotherhood students also protested at Ain Shams University on Tuesday, demonstrating their rejection of the return of university guards, reported Al-Masry Al-Youm.
 
Ain Shams University decided to ban 19 students from living in campus housing after demonstrating in the city despite a decision by the university president to prevent demonstrations inside the campus of the university.
 
Protests at universities against the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi and against the military-backed government have been frequent since the beginning of the academic year in September 2013.
