Nagi Shihabi, General Coordinator of the civil parties coalition, said that the fatwas issued by Dr. Yasser Borhamy, Vice-President of the Salafist Call, against Christians are hostile to the entire Egyptian people.
He added that such fatwas are abusive for Islam and Muslims, even before they hurt Christians.
Sheikh Borhamy had issued controversial fatwas during the past few days regarding the inadmissibility of congratulations Christians on their feasts or assigning them to senior positions.
