Shubra al-Kheima Criminal Court said on Sunday that it will issue a verdict in the case of 48 Brotherhood defendants who are accused of blocking Qalyub road back in 2012.
The court added that it will issue the ruling on 7 June.
The suspects include Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, Mohamed al-Beltagy, Osama Yassin, Bassem Ouda, Mohamed abdel Maqsoud, Abdel Rahman al-Barr, Abdullah Barakat and others.
They face charges of inciting violence and murder, blocking Qalyub road, endangering citizens’ lives and resisting authorities.
The defendants' lawyers said that the testimony of witnesses were contradictory and that the indictment was null.
