Six "extremists" were killed in an air strike in North Sinai on Tuesday, security sources told Aswat Masriya.
"The army targeted a hiding place of Jihadists with missiles, which left six of them killed and 14 injured," the sources added.
The armed forces have launched a security campaign across Egypt to counter militant attacks that have risen sharply since the ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi last year.
