President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has accepted Tuesday the resignation of former presidential advisories, presidential spokesperson Ihab Badawy’s announced in an official press statement that.
The statement mentioned that the former presidential advisor for the security affairs Mohamed Rafaat Shehata, presidential advisor for strategic affairs Al-Mostafa Salem Hegazy, presidential advisor for constitutional affairs Counciller Ali Awad Saleh, presidential media advisor Ahmed Al-Meslemany, presidential advisor for women affairs Sakena Fouad, and presidential advisor for scientific affairs Essam Heggy all resigned from their positions.
The Cabinet of Egypt’s interim government headed by Ibrahim Mahlab resigned June 9 and the president accepted their resignation. Hours after submitting the Cabinet resignation, Sisi reinstated Mahlab and asked him to form the new government.
