Morsy Ettehadiya trial postponed to 22 June

On Wednesday, Cairo Criminal Court postponed the trial of deposed President Mohamed Morsy and 14 others to 22 June. On Wednesday, Cairo Criminal Court postponed the trial of deposed President Mohamed Morsy and 14 others to 22 June. 
 
The defendants, including seven fugitives, are charged with causing the death and injury of protesters outside Ettehadiya presidential palace on 5 December 2012.
 
The court renewed the gag order on the details of the case.
  
This was the 23rd session and the fourth secret session since the trial began on 4 November 2013. 
 
Among the defendants are Asaad al-Sheikha, Morsy’s deputy chief of presidential staff, Ahmed Abdel Aty, his office director, Ayman Abdel Raouf Hodhod, his security adviser, Alaa Hamza, his acting inspector for the Sharqia Civil Status Department, Reda al-Sawy, Lamloum Mekkawy, Abdel Hakim Ismail, Hani Tawfik, Ahmed al-Mogheir, Abdel Rahman Ezz Eddin, Gamal Saber, Mohamed al-Beltagy, Essam al-Erian and Wagdi Ghoneim.
