Coptic Orthodox Church has issued a statement today to assure St. George Church in Sharona island, Minya, was set on fire today.
Police were reported and the matter is still under investigation.
Security enhancements are demanded to churches on the eastern bank of the Nile River in Minya as they are threatened by similar attacks.
