Egypt's president Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi will fly to Algeria on Wednesday, reported Al-Ahram's Arabic news website.
El-Sisi's first foreign visit as president of Egypt will include meeting with his Algerian counterpart Abdel-Aziz Bouteflika.
According to a presidential statement, the visit will look into means of enhancing political and economic ties between the two countries.
El-Sisi will leave Algeria for Equatorial Guinea's Malabo, where he is scheduled to give a speech on Thursday at the African Union's 23rd Ordinary Summit.
