Minya Criminal Court sentenced six Muslim Brotherhood supporters to prison terms ranging from one to 20 years over rioting, illegally protesting and attacking police.
The court also cleared a high-school student and decided that a ruling against 29 others allegedly involved in riots and violence will be issued in October.
Various sentences, including life in prison and death sentences, have been issued recently against Muslim Brotherhood members.
Some analysts said that these charges are politically motivated and are sought to silence opposition to the current regime.
