Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, sent today several congratulatory messages to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and other officials on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Congratulatory messages were also sent to Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, Prime Minister, Gen. Sidqi Subhi, Secretary of Defense, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. / Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, and Dr. Mohamed Mukhtar, Minister of Awqaf.
It's worth mentioning that the holy month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar; Muslims worldwide observe this as a month of fasting. This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
