The Salafi Nour Party on Wednesday called on political forces to unite against the return of the police state and warned the regime of a public anger from the policies of the government.
“I see signs of the return of the police state that was before the 25 January Revolution,” said Assistant Chairman Nader Bakkar on Facebook. “Corruption has spread in all state institutions and security is fake.”
Party Chairman Younis Makhyoun said the government will lose popularity and urged it to study the consequences of it decisions.
The two leading figures did not explain what specifics they were referring to, but the party was criticized by pro-Brotherhood Islamist groups for supporting the roadmap of the army after deposing President Mohamed Morsy last year.
