In his interview with Copts United, Bishop Ioannis, general bishop of services, said that the Church won't nominate certain people for the state to appoint in the parliament unless the state asks for such nominations.
He added that Pope Tawadros believes that the Church shouldn't mobilize the people anymore and should let them decide.
Abba Ioannis said that many Copts believe that what happened in Egypt after June 30 is a miracle Even when many churches were burned, the Copts accepted that believing that churches can be rebuilt, but Egypt should live.
He said that the spokesperson of the Church made it easier for media to communicate with the Church.
He added that the Church has been the political representative of the Copts and will stay so. Of course anyone can speak, and nobody can prevent someone from expressing his opinion.
