Five people were killed and 13 others were injured Sunday in two accidents in Minya.
A microbus flipped over on the eastern desert road in Minya, south of al-Safa checkpoint, leaving four dead and 10 others injured.
The victims were transferred to Minya Public Hospital.
Police also said a driver was killed and three others were injured in a separate collision between a pickup truck and a microbus near Mallawy city on the Cairo-Aswan road. The victims were transferred to Mallawy Public Hospital.
A recent report by CAPMAS has said that the number of car accidents in Egypt reached 15,578 in 2013, up 0.4 percent from a year earlier.
