Minya Criminal Court on Monday acquitted Mamdouh Mabrouk, the director of the Muslim Brotherhood’s administrative office in Minya, along with four others in the Minya violence case.
The same court gave another person to a suspended one-year sentence and five others to five to ten years for demonstrating without permission, joining a terrorist group and disrupting the referendum on the Constitution in January.
The sentences were issued by Judge Saeed Sabra, known as the executioner of the Muslim Brotherhood, after he had sentenced to death more than 600 leaders and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood, including Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, for inciting violence and storming police stations in Minya.
