Police have arrested Hani Mohammed Abdel Moez, 36, on charges of burning 108 shops in the Good Shepherd corridor in Shubra, Cairo.
The defendant had been convicted in drug smuggling cases several times.
He added in the interrogations that he decided to burn one shop hired by a man who refused to pay the rent.
It's worth mentioning that most shops belong to Coptic Christians.
