Beheira security services on Wednesday arrested 18 members of the Muslim Brotherhood for demonstrating without permission.
They marched the streets of the cities of Damanhur and al-Delengat, chanted slogans against the president, sprayed offensive phrases on the walls of some shops and beat the shop owners.
Prosecutors are investigating the incident.
