President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday received Argentinian Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman in Cairo.
Timerman praised the Egyptian efforts on the Gaza ceasefire and said it was necessary to resume talks between Palestinians and Israelis to reach a final compromise.
He also condemned all forms of terrorim and praised Egypt’s role in fighting it, adding that his country will take part in the Arab foreign ministers meeting with their South American counterparts that will be hosted by Bahrain in October within preparation for the Arab-Latin Summit in Riyadh in March 2015.
Meanwhile, Sisi stressed the strong Arab-Latin ties, praising Argentina’s stance on the 30 June events. He also reviewed accomplishments by Egypt in fulfilling the requirements of the roadmap, including the constitution and presidential elections, adding that parliamentary elections will take place before the end of the year.
Sisi said he hopes for a boost in bilateral ties in all fields. He also praised political stability and economic progress in Latin America.
