A huge fire has destroyed four factories in the Borg Al-Arab district of Alexandria, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
The fire began on Monday morning in a plastics and chemicals factory.Two military and six civilian fire trucks brought the blaze under control.
The plastics and chemicals factory was 300 square metres in area, while the other factories were 200 square metres.Borg Al-Arab is an industrial area west of Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast.
Meanwhile, a fire destroyed 25 toktoks at a garage in the Haram district of Giza on Monday.In both incidents no injuries or casualties were reported. In August a huge fire destroyed more than 50 shops in the Shubra district of Cairo.
