Pope Francis I, Pope of the Vatican, said that Christians existed in Iraq and Syria since the very beginning of Christianity. But they are suffering currently from many threats.
He added during a speech today to the cardinals at the Vatican that we can’t think of a Middle East free of Christians who preached the name of Christ for two thousand years there.
Pope stressed that the situation in Iraq and Syria is disturbing and terrorism forces large number of Christians to leave their homes and countries.
