Amid tight security measures, the funeral of Abba Mikhail, bishop of Assiut, started at Archangel Michael in Assiut was held and headed by Pope Tawadros II.
Abba Mikhail passed away at the age of 93, after long struggle with his illness.
Thousands of his children came to bid the last farewell for their father whom they considered a saint.
