Council of the Churches of Egypt issued a statement today to mourn the departure of Abba Michael, Bishop of Assiut, who passed away on Sunday.
The Council praised his great history and ministry.
It offered its sincere condolences to Pope Tawadros, the holy Synod and the Coptic congregation for his departure.
