Cabinet approves death, life sentences for kidnapping, sexually assaulting females

Cabinet has approved a draft law amending some terms of the penal code no.58 for the year 1937, to be referred to the legislative committee.
 
The amendments was made to article no 290, which stipulates that whoever kidnapped a woman should be sentenced to life, or death if kidnapping is linked to sexual assault of the victim.
 
The article applies to all adults.
