Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi agreed on Wednesday with his French counterpart François Hollande to activate French investments and projects in Egypt worth 796 million Euros, Sisi said.
Sisi arrived in Paris on Tuesday, being the second destination in his first trip to Europe since swearing the oath last June.
The presidents discussed means of strengthening bilateral ties in the economic, trade, defence, cultural and tourism fields.
Sisi stressed during a joint press conference that Egypt is a "safe country" and that it welcomes French and European tourists to its lands.
The two presidents stressed the importance of joining efforts to address several regional issues. Sisi said there was agreement over the dangers of "the proliferating map of terrorism in the Middle East and Africa" and the importance of swiftly combating it.
Sisi landed in the Italian capital on Monday, prior to his visit to Cairo.
The Egyptian president met with his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano and the reigning pope of the Catholic Church Pope Francis.
