A fact-finding Committee held a press conference today at the headquarters of the Shura Council, to document the events in Egypt after the revolution of June 30. It issued a report stating that supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood have attacked many churches all over Egypt.
The report said the country witnessed one of the worst waves of violence in the history of Egypt, as many Coptic churches and properties were attacked and looted all over Egypt.
The report revealed that 52 churches had been burned, and 20 other chapels were looted. 1120 properties of Copts were seized among which 260 cases were spotted in Minya alone. 29 people were killed in sectarian violence.
According to the report, 110 Christians were kidnapped since the revolution, and only 92 were released.
