Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, said in “counter-terrorism conference” held by Al-Azhar yesterday that the Middle East is suffering from horrible division, wars and destruction.
He added that countries of the Arab Spring are suffering from sectarian strife, slaughter, forced displacement and bloody wars by terrorist groups that know nothing about real Islam.
Sheikh of Al-Azhar explained that Daash portrays Islam as a religion of slaughter and beheading which apparently works against Islam and only benefits its enemies and arms dealers.
