Ahmed Tharwat, the son-in-law of Muslim Brotherhood leader Khairat al-Shater was arrested in the airport Saturday night after returning from Qatar, Youm7 reported.
His name had been put on a travel ban list for taking part in calls for violence in riots after the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi, and his membership in the Brotherhood, which was designated a terrorism organization by the Egyptian government Dec. 25, 2013.
According to Aswat Masriya, the prosecution sentenced Tharwat to 15 days in jail pending investigation Sunday.
Previously, the security forces arrested Ahmed Abdel Ghany, who is also son in law to Shater. Ghany was accused of forming a terrorist group called the Helwan Brigades.
Shaters two daughters Mariam and Fatma are also banned from traveling, and their assets have been frozen by the government.
