Oum El Nour service celebrated the 10th anniversary in the presence of Ibrahim Mahlab, Egypt’s prime minster and many public figures including Eng Hany Azer, global tunnel expert, Dr. Ibrahim Samak, energy expert, Dr. Ghada Wali, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Laila Iskandar, Minister of slums’ development, Maj. Gen. Murad Muwafi, former director of intelligence, and Major General Sameh Seif Yazal, strategic expert.
The celebration was also attended by Bishop Moussa, Bishop of youth, Bishop Ioannis, Bishop of public services, and Dr. Safwat Bayadi, head of the Anglican Communion.
Pope Tawadros, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, expressed his bliss to see Oum El Nour service growing and celebrating its 10th anniversary.
For his part, Chancellor Amir Ramzy, the Secretary-General to Oum El Nour, welcomed the Prime Minister and assured the urgent need to cooperate between the government and charity organizations like Oum El Nour and suggested a regular meeting to discuss cooperation.
Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, said that he was honored to be invited to such celebration by an organization that cares for the poor who represent 26% of our community in addition to many illiterate people. He also welcomed cooperation with such organizations.
